Its a New Year.

Happy New Year!

A little bit late – but hey – it is still a new year right?

I wish that I had something really profound and deep to share with you all. Something about new starts, going after your dreams, and making this the year that you go after what you have been striving for. I wish I could write about resolving to live a green lifestyle, to do something that will better your community around you. I wish I could write about resolutions like living outside your comfort zone, being bold and adventurous, conquering your fears and loving the Lord with wild abandon!

But I got nothing for you today.

A Time.

A few days ago I was sitting on a blanket outside in my frontyard. The sun was shinning and my sweet little boy was riding around on his tricycle (He was wearing his sisters big red tball helmet and his one red winter mitt…. seriously cute!). I went and got us a snack and he toddled over and plopped down beside me with a big smile. I told him I loved him and he said it right back (like he does and melts my heart) and I realized then… I am happy.

I mentioned in my last post I had shut down my store. I had a retail brick and mortar store for over 3 and a half years. I really loved doing it and had a blast, but I had to closed last October. I have had a hard time since then dealing with all sorts of feelings of failure and a bit of loss. But I am coming to realize that these little moments are what truley make me happy. The time to sit with my favourite boy and have a snack. Time to go to my daughters beach trip or whatever school event she has. Time to create. There is a time for everything in our lives and it is a time for me to move on and embrace my life as it is, which is wonderful.

“There is an appointed time for everything.  And there is a time for every event under heaven ~
A time to give birth, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to tear down, and a time to build up.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
A time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing.
A time to search, and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep, and a time to throw away.
A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together; A time to be silent, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and a time to hate; A time for war, and a time for peace.”
