My life as a kid of the King

Like the rain.

It is raining.  It feels so good, it smells so amazing. The ground is soaking it in, things are refreshed and they are growing.

It has me thinking. What is it about the rain and Jesus.

Why is it when ever I hear the sound of the rain – I listen for His voice?

Why is it when I feel the drops on my body – I feel for His touch?

Why is it when I smell the rain coming – I look for Him?

Sometimes I feel like I am searching for my love, the perfect piece of me, the one who holds my heart.

Its like the rain reminds me that He is always there, pouring His love over me.

Jesus is like the rain.

Rain Down

looks like tonight, the sky is heavy

Feels like the winds are gonna change

Beneath my feet, the earth is ready I know its time for heaven’s rain, it’s gonna rain
Cos its living water we desire to flood our hearts with holy fire
Rain down, all around the world we’re singing

Rain down can you here the earth is singing

Rain down all around your people singing

Rain down rain it down on me.
Back to the start, my heart is heavy Feels like its time, to dream again I hear Your voice,

and yes I’m ready To live the life to sing Your song, to sing Your song Yes I belong
Give me strength to cross the water Keep my heart upon the altar Rain, rain it down on me. Give me faith to render heaven

James 5:18

Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.

Leviticus 26:4

Then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit

Zechariah 10:1

Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.

Psalm 72:6

May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth!

New Girls Quotes!

For those of you who love Zooey Deshanels show “New Girl” here are some LOL quotes for you:

Jess: “That’s where I live, and those are my friends, and that wasn’t even the first stabbing this month. Russell, my life is just as important as your life, and if you want to get with me, you have to get with my friends. And that is a Spice Girls song”

Nick: “Russell, hey. I can show around, I can show you our world. Way up here, it’s crystal-clear.”
Jess: “Nick, you’re doing Aladdin.”
Nick: “Again?”

Nick: “They don’t know what Saved by the Bell is and they’ve never felt pain.”

Nick: “I want to sit at that desk and veto a law. You smell that? It smells like leather, Teddy Roosevelt, and wistfulness.”

Jess: What’s going on? Why is the cast of The Social Network in our apartment?

Nick: “Where are you guys? Could I have walked out to the mountains? When does a hill become a mountain? I’m so cold” ~ (FYI I cry-laughed at this scene!)

Nick: “He smells of strong coffee and going to see a man about a horse”

Schmidt: “I’m gonna go take a shower with Nick’s bar soap like a common ranch hand.”

Jess [to Nick]: “Are you sure you’re okay? You’re walking like a Disney witch. Let me drive you to your doctor.”

Jess: “I saw Nick’s pipi. And his bubbles”

Nick: “I could pretend to be more like you, Jess, and live on a sparkly rainbow and drive a unicorn around and just sing all the time”

What Affects You?

I have always desired to create something that evokes emotion. Pieces that people would look at and feel something in the pit of thier being. There are so many ways to affect someone.

(Above is a link to an old hymn that makes my heart sing)

How will you Affect someone today?

Charlie Brown… Quotes.

I love quotes, I love Charlie Brown (Snoopy most of all!!) Here are some quotes from our favorite “optimistic” cartoon boy!

Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love.

There must be millions of people all over the world who never get any love letters . . . I could be their leader.

Sometimes I lie awake at night and I ask, “Why me?”, then a voice answers “Nothing personal, your name just happened to come up.

If I stand here, I can see the Little Red Haired girl when she comes out of her house… Of course, if she sees me peeking around this tree, she’ll think I’m the dumbest person in the world… But if I don’t peek around the tree, I’ll never see her… Which means I probably AM the dumbest person in the world… which explains why I’m standing in a batch of poison oak.

It always looks darkest just before it gets totally black.

And last but not least

Good grief

Remembrance Day

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

What is love?

I just watched the movie “Paperheart” where the main charactor dosn’t beleive Love is real, or that she can feel that emotion. It was a neat movie because it was a documentry and fictional story meshed together. Well.. it got me thinking about love. Here are some famous quotes about LOVE:

Have a heart that never hardens, and a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts

Charles Dickens

Love never claims, it ever gives.

Mohandas K. Gandhi

Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.

Emily Bronte

“When you are in Love you can’t fall asleep because reality is better than your dreams.”

Dr Seuss

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.

Helen Keller

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 3:16-17
